In 1992, ISSEY MIYAKE PARFUMS launched its first fragrance, L'EAU D'ISSEY. "L'eau" is French for "water", a material that ISSEY MIYAKE viewed as the starting point for the fragrance, which had a lasting impact on the perfume world. Much like ISSEY MIYAKE's clothing design, his fragrances are produced using the same principles: constantly bring new scents that are fitting for contemporary life, based on the concept of pursuing one's true nature.
